My sale presented lots of challenges – in the range of items, the logistical limitations and location of my old house, and the sheer amount of stuff to be sold. But nothing phased Dave Carlon.
In my first meeting with him, Dave gave the impression of being clear, direct, honest, and realistic. It turned out that he was every one of those and more. He developed a plan for the sale that worked, and refined it along the way to maximize success. His experience, imagination, and expertise all came into play.
Everyone Dave called on to assist in the sale was professional, friendly, and helpful. As for Dave and Mary Ann, they are terrific people and they worked long and hard before, during, and after the sale. It was a joy to work with them, every step of the way. Saying goodbye to a houseful of things I treasured was not easy, but they made the experience as pain-free as it could possibly have been. Our extensive collection included 50 years of everything from old toys, clocks & watches, records, postcards, antiques, stamps, etc.
After an extensive search to find the “right guy” for the job…(interviews, phone calls, in-person visits, etc.) we felt most comfortable and confident with Dave and his proposals.
He was able to handle every aspect of 3 weekends of sales. With the help of MaryAnn, his wife, they spent days on end to organize, price, advertise and setup for each sale. Dave’s contact list was extensive and professional, bringing in a motivated following of buyers. Their crew of ‘sale-day assistants’ were friendly and knowledgeable; a true pleasure to work with.
Most importantly, Dave and Mary Ann were reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable to work with. It was a pleasure to share our home and time with them each day.

Dave and his entire team at Lucky Day are phenomenal. My father never threw out anything and collected multiples of items, and lived in the house for over 60 years. Needless to say, there were so many things to go through and sort! Dave and his team were professional and knowledgeable, but also extremely friendly and so easy to talk to, as if we had all known each other many years. The estate sale was well organized and well advertised which resulted in great turnout. Dave was communicative throughout the whole set-up process and during the sale as well. Everything was cleaned up after, and Dave also had a recommendation for a clean-out crew to help with what was left (we also used this recommendation and they were fantastic.) I was very overwhelmed by the amount of items in the home and had no idea where to start myself but Dave and the entire Lucky Day team made the process smooth and easy. I’d highly recommend to anyone!!
Hello: I just want to say how happy I was with the service Dave Carlon and his wife Maryann provided. They spent many days cleaning and tossing out junk at my Mothers house. They were preparing the home for an Estate sale. Dave is very knowledgeable on what items are popular and what sells and for how much. I was surprised at the amount of money he made selling items I thought had no value. I highly recommend him for any sales that someone might need in the future.
We were very pleased with Lucky Day Estate Sale. Dave and Maryann took great care in preparation for our sale. IN the days prior to the sale, they spent many hours to price and display the items. They showed knowledge of the items which was reflected in the pricing. During the sale they were professional and took great care to make sure there was no damage during the removal of items and remained in contact with us as any questions arose. After the sale, Dave followed up with us and offered help suggestions with cleaning out the rest of the home.
Dave and Maryann have great pride in their business and we are happy to refer them to anyone wanting to have an estate sale.
My husband and I will be moving in a couple of months and did not know what to do with the 40 years of accumulated “stuff” that we had in the house. A friend shared a positive experience that she had with holding an estate sale. We proceeded to interview a few different estate sale operators. When we met with Dave from Lucky Day, we knew he was the right man for the job!
Why did we choose Dave and Lucky Day? Several reasons! Dave has a calm demeanor which was very helpful to us who were feeling very stressed about the whole process! We had a lot of furniture to get rid of and he posted them on several websites, even before the sale, to help to get it sold. No one else had offered this service. We also had specialty items i.e. sports memorabilia, trains, coins, etc and he had contacts in all those areas in order to help us sell our stuff!
Watching Dave and MaryAnn at work was so amazing. They set up the stuff in our house, quietly and systematically, checking current values of all items and labeling items with prices. He also posted items on alternative websites to get “unusual” things sold! Dave was always fielding emails and texts about items for sale and worked tirelessly to get the job done!
The staff that he had the days of the sale were also respectful and knowledgeable. They respected our home and made sure that patrons were also treating our home and possessions with respect!
